| Places
of interest Castelló d'Empúries: This is the old town located about one mile from Empuria. The town reached the heights of its splendour in the middle ages, after the Counts of Empúries set up residence there in the eleventh century and the town became the county capital. |

The buildings in the heart of the town, or what is known as the monument district, date back to this early period and the area still conserves it's early appearance. Figueres: This is the nearest town and home of the famous Dali Museum. |

| Cadeques: Located
about 45 min drive away from Ampuriabrava. Cadeques is a quaint fishing
town with cobbled streets and old buildings. Cafes overlook the stoney
beach which is littered with small fishing boats. In the next bay round
from Cadeques (heading towards France), you will find Dali's house and
another museum about his life. A hotel just by the beach is an ideal
place to have lunch as it has its own pool available for use.
L'Escala and Roses: Are both traditional fishing ports. Why not go hand buy fresh fish from the market at Roses? Kid's FacilitiesAmpuriabrava and the surrounding area is ideal for kids. The beach at Ampuriabrava is sandy. Aqua-Brava (Water Park) is only a 15 min drive away. Ampuriabrava also has a Go Cart track which is located at the airport as well as amusement arcades, trampolines, bouncy castles etc. etc. |

Sporting
Facilities Aeronautical sports: the Ampuriabrava aerodrome is home to the Costa Brava Parachuting Centre, considered to be one of the world's leading centres. |
